I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Jesus loves you. Not the you that you will become or that you used to be. He loves you, right here, right now. Can’t get ready for work on time? Can’t sit still or say the right thing? Do you have a long list of sins that keep you up at night? He loves you. He wants you for Himself.
Maybe your father didn’t love you well, or your mother. Maybe your siblings won’t speak to you, or your children. Jesus loves you perfectly and wants to speak to you right this moment. He sees you for who you are, and He loves you.
Are you the one who has failed to love well? You blew it with your spouse or your friends and hurt them. They kept giving you opportunities and you just couldn’t do it. Jesus loves you and He loves them. That’s not a problem for Jesus. He wants to redeem those things.
Maybe you think that you are absolutely perfect and have never messed up in walking out love for someone else. Jesus loves us even when we are wrong. He wants to open our eyes and teach us.
He is gentle and comes near to us in our time of need. The love is always on and perfect and the invitation always stands. “Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you.” (James 4:8 paraphrased) He will do the cleanup. He will forgive what you have done, and He will remove the stain of what has been done to you. He will prove His faithfulness to you more and more each day. Just give Him the chance.
He has redeemed relationships, hotels, cities, denominations, and hobbies for me. I have watched Him undo the mess I have made of my life moment by moment. He loves me and He has been convincing me of it.
He planned you, He designed you, He made you. He likes you, He loves you, and He wants you. I have zero doubt. Not one bit. His love is everything, and it will solve literally every issue in your heart, mind, body, and spirit.
Jesus loves you.
